This is Freelee, and even though she was never obese, she was unhappy with the way she looked and felt before going raw vegan, so she did something about it. I always thought she was naturally tiny and fit so I never would have guessed that she ever had 40 Lbs to lose. She doesn't have an ounce of fat on her now, and is an inspirational for me becoming super healthy after gaining weight following the accident. If you just can't lose that extra weight that is bothering you, go raw and it just falls off naturally, no matter how much you eat (at least that is my experience, and that of others like Angela Stokes who lost 160 Lbs by going raw vegan- see the 3rd video below).
Raw food is for me! I have done raw food for many years on and off, but now I am so sure about what my body needs/wants that I am not going back. I'm not going to freak out at myself if I have something cooked here and there, but stick with raw food as my core diet.
I figured out the trick to not having cravings = eating as much fruit as I want. I also find that having dates and figs on-hand really reduces my thoughts on sweet treats because they are a natural sweet treat! Once I stick with the raw food for a month all I crave is raw food. It's just getting past that one month mark (for me anyway). Now I don't crave anything. The hardest thing for me before was that I am mostly drawn to greens, and not eating very much fruit. That's why I was having cravings for breads, pastas and other heavy carbs, when all I needed was fruit :) It seriously works!
I know now that being vegan is just the start, and it's a great start. But for optimal health, based on my experience and listening to what so many other people report, raw vegan is king.
Here is Angela Stokes talking about how she lost 160 Lbs by simply going raw vegan!
Well, I hope you are all doing well out there, and living the best lives possible. It makes me feel so good to know you are making efforts to improve the quality of life for not only yourself, but for the planet and the animals who live here with us.
