I usually don't put up images of this kind, but I thought it was important for people to see. Some folks have said to me, "Well it's part of their culture to kill whales and dolphins for eating". But things change, and awareness grows as we awaken to the fact that this kind of slaughter is unnecessary. We have the ability and responsibility to grow vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and legumes for our food sources; and preserve the life around us as it preserves us.

I've seen this before. I find this so disgusting. If I'm not mistaken, they do this yearly, as a rite of passage when "boys" reach a certain age. Weather they eat them or not I have no idea. But really. Are we not evolved enough to do something better as a "celebration"?

I would just like to make the distinction that this is not taking place in Denmark, but rather on the Faroe Islands. Nonetheless, horrific indeed.
