I just finished watching the documentary "I AM", and it was perfect!! Everything I dream of getting across to the beautiful people who read my little blog- that we are all incredible beings, and our nature is kindness and cooperation at it's core.
I always feel as if I am bursting at the seams to beam out the message that we are so much more than what we think we are. Everything is more than what we understand it to be. We have no idea what 1.) a smile can do to a stranger, or 2.) what it means when we pick up a turtle and take him to the other side of the highway, or 3.) the ant on the sidewalk that we walk around instead of stepping on. What's the difference?

If this sounds new age-y, then maybe it is time to welcome the new age, because at the very least it makes no difference, good or bad. But the harm done by not acting may be devastating. The people in your life who piss you off are the ones you need to embrace and be extra kind to. I am not talking about abuse- that lies in a different area, and walking away and letting go is most appropriate in that case. The energy of anger, jealousy, hate and vindictiveness are toxic and will eventually make us sick.
Today I saw the strangest thing on my walk to work: a wasp was laying on the ground and looked injured, as if he had been partially stepped on, but was still alive and moving, while another wasp was walking all around him and prying at him gently from all angles. I stood there watching this for a few minutes. The one was not trying to eat the other or sting it or anything. He looked like he was really trying to help the other one get up. Some people will say I'm delusional, but it was never-the-less a moving thing for me to see.
What are we doing to pick up the people, animals, Earth around us?
I'm off to bed, but I'll think of some good things I can do tomorrow :) Join me?
