The Ghosts in Our Machine - Documentary About Animal Rights Activist Jo-Anne McArthur:

Hey everyone! I urge you all to go see the film about my friend Jo-Anne McArthur, a long-time animal rights activist and photographer. The movie is called 'The Ghosts in Our Machine' and it's playing at The Kingsway Theatre, (in Toronto), until July 4th. She is incredibly inspiring, and we all need to support brave souls like this, in order to create positive change in the world.

I often feel like I am never doing enough to help the cause, but we each have our own form of activism, and mine tends to be reaching out to people with words of encouragement, and offering inspiration. I am amazed by people like Jo-Anne, who have the courage to photograph inside the forbidden factory farms (the triple F word), and be in the face of those who commit horrific crimes against our fellow-creatures. She is a true inspiration.

What the Bleep Do We Know- Full Documentary! :))

Good morning, my lovely people! Here is your homework for today: Watch this amazing documentary-What The Bleep Do We Know, and try to live accordingly :) Whenever I feel crappy and lost I watch this and it snaps me out of my depression. Seriously. 

When I was a little girl I used to write this message to myself: "Things are not what they seem. Question everything". Now that I think about that it's a weird thing for a kid to think, especially when I was never introduced to this idea.

We can change the world around us, and that's not an airy-fairy thing to say. Quantum physics, (which I have been obsessed with for many years), is revealing so many strange and amazing things. It's not religion and it's not atheism. Choose your experiences. Create your life.

Hello to all you Beautiful Vegans out there, and those making the transition into the lifestyle!

So THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. Who would have thought that a little blog could reach so far? It may not seem like a big number to many, but to me it means the world. It gives me hope that we can transform this planet and create positive change. I would love all of you out there to start blogging, because it allows you a voice that needs to be heard. 

When you let out that inner freak- that crazy, weird person you really are, and be as genuine as possible, people will be drawn to you. I am not in competition with any one of you- I am on your team :)

Make Your Own Meditation Tent!

Hello, my lovelies! I had so much fun making my own meditation tent that I thought I'd share it with you! I get so distracted by everything around me that I needed a cozy space in my apartment where I could be completely focused on meditating and vision work. Sooo... I created this little nook.





I made these amazing drawings for you... (ok, they aren't so hot, but I tried), so you can make one yourself!

I took a hula-hoop and tied two sticks in a cross shape to it with strings (as tightly as I could). Next I tied more strings from each connecting point and tied them up at the top in a loop so it would hang from the ceiling. Then I drilled a hole in the ceiling where I would be hanging it and nailed a stud in. I then screwed in the screw hook firmly. If you don't use a stud your hook won't be strong enough to hold the weight of your tent. Then I took all my scarves and wrap-around skirts and tied them to the hula-hoop and made a tent shape at the top part.
That's pretty much it for the basic tent!! Then I went crazy decorating the inside with cozy blankets and pillows, added a salt lamp, some scrying mirrors and some crystals hanging from the cross at the top. I also added a star projector thingy I have that is meant for projecting stars up on the ceiling, but instead I hung it from the top pointing down! I love it! It feels very magical inside, and I lose track of time entirely. The mirrors are a good idea if you do any kind of vision work. Mine are two large mirrors joined together with hinges and stand up in the tent.
